All Northbound Lanes on I-75 at Sheridan Street to Close for Sign Installation

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close all northbound lanes along I-75 at Sheridan Street to install an overhead sign structure for the 75 Express Lanes project. In order to perform the work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

All lanes of I-75 northbound at Sheridan Street will be closed from 11 p.m. Tuesday, August 2 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, August 3 and from 11 p.m. Wednesday, August 3 to 5 a.m. Thursday, August 4. Motorists will be detoured to exit at Sheridan Street East (Exit 11A) and go east to Flamingo Road, north on Flamingo Road to Griffin Road and west on Griffin Road to re-enter I-75 northbound. Please follow the posted detour.

If necessary to complete the work, these lane closures will also take place from 11 p.m. Thursday, August 4 to 5 a.m. Friday, August 5.I75

Ramp Closure for 75 Express Sign Installation Scheduled to Begin Wednesday, July 27

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close the ramp from I-75 northbound to I-595 eastbound to install an overhead sign structure for the 75 Express Lanes project. In order to perform the work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

The ramp from I-75 northbound to I-595 eastbound will be closed overnight Wednesday, July 27;Thursday, July 28 and Sunday, July 31 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.  Motorists will be detoured to exit at Royal Palm Boulevard (Exit 15) and go west on Royal Palm Boulevard to Weston Road, north on Weston Road to State Road 84 and east on SR 84 to enter I-595 eastbound.  Please follow the posted detour.

Ramp from Southbound I-75 to Southbound Florida’s Turnpike Scheduled to Shift on Thursday, June 30

Beginning Thursday night, June 30, the ramp from southbound I-75 (Exit 5) to southbound Florida’s Turnpike will shift to its new location. The new ramp will shift slightly west of the existing ramp and remain two lanes. If crews are unable to complete the work due to inclement weather or other unexpected conditions the traffic shift will occur on Tuesday, July 5.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close all southbound lanes along I-75 at Sheridan Street to install overhead sign structures for the 75 Express Lanes project. In order to perform the work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

• All lanes of I-75 southbound at Sheridan Street will be closed from 11 p.m.Wednesday, June 29 to 5 a.m. Thursday, June 30. Motorists will be detoured to exit at Sheridan Street East (Exit 11A), go east on Sheridan Street to Flamingo Road, south on Flamingo Road to Pines Blvd and west on Pines Blvd to re-enter I-75 southbound.  Please follow the posted detour.

Full Closures on I-75 Northbound at Miramar Parkway Scheduled to Begin on Sunday, June 26

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close all northboundlanes along I-75 at Miramar Parkway to allow crews to demolish the remaining section of the existing Miramar Parkway bridge. In order to perform this work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

  • All lanes of I-75 northbound at Miramar Parkway will be closed from 12:01 a.m. Sunday, June 26 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 27. Motorists will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Miramar Parkway East (Exit 7A), at the top of the ramp cross over Miramar Parkway, and re-enter I-75 northbound using the Miramar Parkway on-ramp.  Motorists wanting to go west on Miramar Parkway will be allowed to make a left at the top of the ramp.

Full Closures on I-75 Southbound at Miramar Parkway Scheduled to Begin on Saturday, June 11

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to close all southboundlanes along I-75 at Miramar Parkway to demolish part of the existing Miramar Parkway bridge. In order to perform this work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

All lanes of I-75 southbound will be closed at Miramar Parkway from 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 13.  Motorists will be detoured at Miramar Parkway West (Exit 7B), cross over Miramar Parkway at the top of the ramp and re-enter I-75 southbound using the Miramar Parkway on-ramp. I-75 Southbound Traffic Shift Rescheduled to Tuesday, June 7

Beginning Tuesday night, June 7, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to shift southbound traffic towards the median on I-75 from south of the Snake Creek Canal to Miami Gardens Drive. This work will allow crews to construct the new direct connect bridges between 75 Express lanes and Florida’s Turnpike as well as southbound I-75 lanes. This configuration will remain until the end of the year.

I-75 Southbound Traffic Shift Scheduled to Begin on Monday, June 6

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to shift southbound traffic on I-75 from south of the Snake Creek Canal to Miami Gardens Drive to construct the new permanent lanes of southbound I-75 and direct connect bridges between the future 75 Express lanes and Florida’s Turnpike. Beginning Monday night, June 6, all southbound lanes of I-75 will be shifted to the median and will remain in this configuration until the end of the year.

Miramar Parkway Interchange Construction Update

Phase 2 construction of Miramar Parkway is currently underway as crews continue work in the middle bridge section. This phase is anticipated to be completed this summer.

Phase 3 construction will begin in the next few months. As part of this final phase, westbound traffic will be shifted onto the newly constructed middle bridge section. Crews will then demolish the westbound section of the existing bridge and will begin construction of the final section of the new bridge.

The final configuration will include three through lanes in the westbound and eastbound direction. In addition, there will be triple turning lanes from eastbound Miramar Parkway to I-75 northbound. Motorists on westbound Miramar Parkway will have triple turning lanes to I-75 southbound as well. The Miramar Parkway interchange is anticipated to be completed in early 2017.unnamed unnamed_1
